Education system of England

The British education system with telugu to english is recognized as a quality standard throughout the world, and for several centuries now has been a model of education to be guided by.

There are 2 types of education systems: English (which is used in England, Wales and Northern Ireland) and Scottish (in Scotland). There are both public and paid (private) schools.

In the UK, schooling is compulsory for children aged 5 to 16. Stages of English education:

Elementary education. Children 5 – 11 years old. From the age of 5, children go to preparatory courses for school, and then from the age of 7 they continue their education in primary school. Courses are provided by both public and private schools. Schools may be gender-segregated. Schools for girls, schools for boys, mixed schools.

Children receive secondary education from 11 to 16 years of age. Secondary education is compulsory only for a child to reach 16 years of age. Then he decides whether he should study further or not. However, this principle also applies to Russian education.

Post-secondary – lasts from 16 to 18 years. All schools prepare children for the General Certificate of Education (GCSE) or Certificate of Vocational Qualification (GNVQ). But for admission to a higher education institution, a regular GCSE certificate is not enough, and therefore students undergo the so-called post-secondary education in order to pass the A-Level exam. To do this, you need to study for 2 years, choosing the necessary disciplines for subsequent studies at the university.

Higher education starts at the age of 18. Passing the A-Level exam is the passing of entrance exams to the university. English higher education is always paid. Both for its citizens and for foreigners who came to study here. Cost difference. For foreigners, it is much higher. There are 700 institutions in the UK where you can get a degree.

Getting an education in private schools in England, you are more likely to enter a higher educational institution. This is due to the best quality of teaching, a large number of disciplines taught and the best teaching staff, as well as increased comfort and progressive material base of the educational institution.

Home schooling is also possible, but this requires official permission from the Board of Education.
